Your tasks

As a Consultant working for Eufomex as a Data Engineer you will:

  • Work on increasingly large amounts of data
  • Design and implement analytically suitable data structures from complex service data
  • Create DWH solutions and assure data integrity and quality
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and define project objectives
Skills

Required:

  • 5+ years of relevant ETL/DI experience
  • 5+ year development with database technologies
  • 5+ years of experience working in financial sector
  • Confident in working with databases and physical data modelling
  • Advanced SQL skills, including the ability to write complex queries and optimize their performance
  • Experienced with multiple Data Warehousing architectures such as Public Cloud, LakeHouse, Data Lake, Data Warehouse, and Data Mart or other data processing tools
  • 5+ years of total experience in data programming languages, patterns and design principles, in particular:
    • SQL
    • Python
    • Big Data
    • Hadoop
  • Knowledge of implementation and system integration using APIs, MQ, FTP, and other integration software
  • University degree in Quantitative science such as Computer science, Finance, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field
  • Delivery-focused and detail-oriented, with the ability to communicate complex ideas simply
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills

Desired:

  • Familiarity with at least one public cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and their respective data & analytics products and platforms
  • Proficiency in shell script programming within Linux/UNIX environments
  • Expertise in DevOps tools, including GitHub/GitLab, Jira, and Confluence
  • Experience working with PySpark or with other BigData Frameworks
  • AWS, Azure, or GCP certifications
  • Fluent in German
